Specific Vulnerabilities

Specific Vulnerabilities

This chapter looks at vulnerable people in the community, and the factors that affect health and wellbeing of specific groups, including carers, people with learning disabilities.

Some people are more vulnerable to poor health than others. Evidence suggests that some groups and communities within Central Bedfordshire have a greater vulnerability to poor health. This arises from the combined effects of deprivation on health and the fact that some groups find services difficult to access.
