The term “place” refers to the geographic level below an ICS (Integrated Care System). Placed-based partnerships involve local government playing an important leadership role in recognising our shared priorities and the scope for joint action. The following themes for integration at the place level are:

  • Delivering better care for individuals right down to community level
  • Improve our populations experiences of care

Community Engagement & Covid-19 Report

This report condenses the key findings of the peer research investigation of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health inequalities of residents of Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire. It concentrates on the experiences of those residents we know to have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, analyses why this was the case, and makes suggestions for what might improve outcomes in the future based on the insights and suggestions of the participants themselves.
